I was just on Bruce Schneier’s blog, Schneier on Security, and noticed that he was infested with a new kind of spam. I’ve never seen this before, but I will call it “traceback spam”. It’s looks like a WebLog traceback, but the site and comments have nothing to do with the web log. In Schneir’s case, the spam was for sex sites.
BlogOrDie! was attacked (and still is most every day) by Comment Spam. I have that under control now with filters. I block most of the email spam using SpamAssassin.
But every time you get one kind of spam under control, up comes something else. It’s just one damn spam after another.
